Hello Vista Heights families,
My name is Mrs. Riopel and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to spend this school year with you! Some of you might remember me from last year when I joined the wonderful team of teachers and staff towards the end of last year. This will be my 13th year teaching with the CBE and I am thrilled to be channeling my expertise and energy into the role of Fine Arts Teacher. You’ll see me rolling through the halls with my colourful cart and I’ll be popping by each classroom to lead students on an adventure through the Fine Arts.
What is the subject of ‘Fine Arts’ you may ask? It is a vibrant collection of explorations within the areas of Music Appreciation, Art and Drama. The benefits of studying Fine Arts are too many to list but include the promotion of self-esteem, motivation, awareness of our world’s beauty, cultural exposure, creativity, emotional expression, as well as social harmony and appreciation of diversity. The Fine Arts allow us to express our personalities, feelings and ideas in a variety of healthy ways. This year we will grow, learn, imagine and create!
